Which is an 'Eye-Clean' Diamond and Why?
I have been reading a lot on clean-eye diamonds. Diamonds with low clarity grading, however the inclusions are 'hidden' when viewed using ones' naked eyes.
I would like to seek the experts out there to verify my assessment.
I have attached diagrams taken from GIA certs of 3 similar 1.5 carat, ideal cutting and CLARITY SI2 diamonds. Assuming that all the other parameters are equal, which is a 'Eye-Clean' Diamond?
My assessment : I would pick the 1st diamond as the ranking of inclusions are cloud, crystal and then feather since cloud is the least obvious, followed by crystal and lastly by feather. Furthermore, the last diamond has 3 long feathers and the second diamond has several shorter feathers (though at the girdles), the possibility of having obvious inclusions using one's naked eyes would increase.
